Blu-Ray rips are very good quality when done by the right groups they almost always match the disc in terms of PQ!
* The Worst BRRIPs are often AVI.
* PS3-TEAM / Bricktop make highest quality MP4
* Sinners / SecretMyth make some of the VERY best BrRips in mp4 under 4 GB.
* Groups such as Wrath, FXM, Whiizz and others make decent Brrips but quality wise dont do as well as the above mentioned.

For A really well done Brrip hold off until one of the top three teams makes a release.

It's just that they are ripped from a bluray disc source. For what I've seen converting it at the same resolution than a dvd, for example, provides better quality than ripping it from a dvd source for the same definition.
